The automotive industry is a wide range of companies and organizations involved in the design, development, manufacturing, marketing, and selling of motor vehicles. It is one of the world’s most important economic sectors. For Tubes International this business is also very important. We serve numerous customers related to this sector.
One of the most demanding customers are bus manufacturers. As a company we had to fulfil special automotive norms to become a supplier. Each department of the company is usually involved in the production process. Thanks to this we have brought numerous solutions to this industry, from simple components to complete hose assemblies. This showed us how important is a comprehensive approach to the customer.
For example: hose assemblies which are used in air condition system in the bus. Special requirement regarding fittings and protection of the hose:
a) Fittings had to be black coated.
b) On the hose we had to put special foam protection. Thanks to this kind of insulation we avoid dripping from the wet hose. After testing hose was protected with plugs.
With this kind of customer the most important is prompt answer to his needs – for example: delivery time – it is critical in automotive business. The bus manufacturer request delivery time for hose assemblies around 4-5 weeks. Delivery time from the hose manufacturer is around 12 weeks. So it is twice longer. Specially for this customer we have to have dedicated warehouse only for this type of hose assembly.
This project is pretty complex due to both logistics and technology. Our customer knows that he can benefit from our superior understanding of the bus industry and turn to us whenever he has to deal with an innovative project.
